The Austrian woman entrepreneur Agnes went to Jordan on July 30th and what has followed with her Jordanian woman co-founder Raneem from irbid were 10 days of extreme hustle, they took the goal to the limit and rushed day and night to set up a fair factory creating employment for 10 Syrian refugee womenand Jordanian women from deprived communities 9km away from the Syrian border. Before joining Luminus Shamal Start they worked in distributed mini workshops but logistic costs and quality control issues were hard, so it was time to take this to the next level, centralize the production and set up their own. They joined FabLab Irbid at Luminus Shamal Start and used the premises while they were tiny, attached is a small photographic insight into their hustle, from machine purchase to set up to first women sewing to packing their first order ready to export.
They just export their first order to Europe with a revenue of 20,000 Euro!!!
