GEW at ShamalStart

ShamalStart’s main event at the Global Entrepreneurship Week. Join us to know more about ShamalStart’s role and mission to empower innovators and makers. We will also host Mr. Firas Abu Wishah as our keynote speaker, as well as two of our amazing startups to talk about their challenges and overcoming the obstacles they faced along the way.

Firas Abu Wishah is a member of the Board of Directors at Petra Engineering Industries, the leading designer and manufacturer of commercial and industrial air-conditioning equipment located in Amman, Jordan. Firas is also very active with the American Chamber of Commerce in Amman, participating in many high level trade missions and business delegations to the United States.
Firas is one of the founding members and first President of the Entrepreneur’s Organization (EO) chapter in Jordan. He is also a member and former board member of the Middle East Leadership Academy (MELA 1). In 2016, Firas was appointed by his Majesty King Abdullah the Second to serve on Jordan’s Economic Policies Council representing the private sector.

Monther Fadel, the founder and business development manager of Darb. At GEW, Monther spoke overcoming obstacles, growing in the Jordanian market, and Darb’s future plans.

Fadi Al Zubaidi, the founder of Rozme w Nabte, spoke about sustainability, women empowerment in business, and the importance of perseverence.
