Fab Academy 100% Success Rate

FabLab Irbid achieves yet another year of 100% success rate for Fab Academy. FabLab Irbid is a beacon of knowledge when it comes to digital fabrication. Since its inception, FabLab Irbid helped 12 students acquire their diploma. During 2020, 4 makers registered for the academy, 3 of which were Syrian refugees in Jordan.

The Fab Academy is a fast paced, hands-on learning experience. During their 5 months of study, students learn rapid-prototyping by planning and executing a new project each week, resulting in a personal portfolio of technical accomplishments. At the Fab Academy, you will learn how to envision, prototype and document your ideas through many hours of hands-on experience with digital fabrication tools. We take a variety of code formats and turn them into physical objects. The Fab Diploma is the result of the sum of Fab Academy Certificates. Progress towards the diploma is evaluated by a student’s acquired skills rather than time or credits.

FabLab Irbid is Jordan’s first digital fabrication laboratory. It comprises of numerically controlled machinery and power tools providing users with the ability to make almost anything. FabLab Irbid is one of the largest 20 fabrication laboratories in the world, and the largest in the region.
