“Larimar” on KickStarter

The Jordanian entrepreneur, engineer Abeer Al-Bashiti, succeeded in placing her company (Larimar) on the KickStarter platform to be an advanced step towards reaching the world in order to communicate directly and effectively with the beneficiaries of the company’s services and collect financing to help complete her project.

According to a press release about the company “KickStarter” is a platform that brings together start-ups in one platform, with the aim of connecting innovative project owners with potential financiers and investors in a way that ensures that entrepreneurs can turn their ideas into businesses while preserving their ownership.

Abeer Al Bashiti further spoke about the importance of Luminus ShamalStart, and the benefits that she received from being incubated in the early stages of her entrepreneurial journey. She also added that her experience at Luminus ShamalStart, and other incubators, “opened the door for her to learn about the world of leadership and convert scientific ideas and research into projects that can be used on a large scale.”

Larimar provides self-regulation tools that monitor and transform emotions, wellness, performance, and resilience for individuals and corporations. Larimar’s artificial intelligence technology works standalone as a mobile app or online service or can be integrated with existing smart wearable devices.

When incubated at Luminus ShamalStart, Abeer was working on her start-up InSys. Intelligent Security Detection Threat has devised a novel system, which enables security agencies and personnel at sensitive locations – such as airports, borders and various private and public facilities – to detect security threats. The system aims to protect lives and properties, increase the security levels and reduce the intensity of security investigation.
