Mobile FabLab is now at GJU!

Luminus ShamalStart and Orange Jordan have launched the Mobile FabLab at its fifth destination at the German Jordanian University (GJU) – Madaba, continuing the lab’s journey that has graduated a total of 70 male and female students in the previous stations in Jerash, Mafraq, Ajloun and Zarqa.
This partnership between ShamalStart and Orange aims to develop youth leadership and introduce them with the increasingly required digital manufacturing skills, expanding their creative horizons to innovate distinctive projects that create sustainable job opportunities locally.

This fully prepared laboratory aims to provide free training on the most important digital skills required in the labor market, through learning how to use latest devices, tools and software in the various fields of digital manufacturing including design and technology, supported cutting, scanning, 3D printing, designing and manufacturing electronic panels, programming and web development, in line with the global and local trend to enhance the contribution of youth to economic and societal development.

The Mobile FabLab provides a supportive environment for innovation and an integrated infrastructure so that beneficiaries of different segments can apply. 17 students enrolled in this station at GJU, including 9 engineers from the German University staff.
