ShamalStart Hosts Annual Dinner

Under the patronage of H.E. Ahmad Hanandeh, Minister of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and in the attendance of the EU Ambassador, H.E. Maria Hadjitheodosiou, Luminus ShamalStart held its annual dinner and closing ceremony for the EU funding of ShamalStart project at The Royal Automobile Museum, celebrating the success and the achievements of the EU-funded project.
 
Over 80 honored guests, including partners, sponsors, and successful entrepreneurs, attended the event, witnessing the accomplishments and success stories that Luminus ShamalStart has produced over the past 7 years.
 
The evening kicked off with showcasing ShamalStart Startups, followed by a few words by Ms. Amanda Helleher, International Education Director of Luminus, then a presentation by Mr. Ibrahim Faza, Manager of Luminus ShamalStart, showcasing the story and successes of Luminus ShamalStart during the past 6 years. “We are extremely proud of our achievements since the beginning, and I’d like to thank everyone for their efforts to make it all work the way it did,” said Mr. Ibrahim Faza, Manager of Luminus ShamalStart. “We are very grateful for the EU support and the generous fund which was vital for ShamalStart success.”
 
Mr. Faza also announced the beginning of the new phase and the launch of the rebranding of Luminus ShamalStart to “Jordan Start” which will be implemented in the upcoming few months.
 
H.E. Maria Hadjitheodosiou, European Union Ambassador to Jordan, highlighted that “ShamalStart has become a flagship hub for innovation and entrepreneurship in Jordan and achieved major milestones that had an impact on the entrepreneurial culture in the north of Jordan. She also emphasized that “with programs like ShamalStart we invested in young bright minds, with creativity, passion and drive for innovation.”
